
Dr. Gabor Mester European Patent Attorney Candidate German Patent Attorney Candidate
European, German and International patent prosecution; drafting of documents required for opposition proceedings and appeal hearings before the European Patent Office; assisting with the preparation of patent non-infringement, freedom to operate, and invalidity opinions. TECHNICAL EXPERTISE Biochemistry, organic chemistry, immunology, cellular biology, virology, microbiology, molecular biology, biochemical methods and diagnostics, pharmaceutical sciences and related medical devices in the mechanical arts. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Dr. Mester recently joined the professionals of Grund IP Group in February, 2011, where he is gaining practical experience in the drafting and prosecution of European, German and PCT patent, trademark and design applications in addition to preparing documents for both opposition proceedings and appeal hearings before the European Patent Office.
Karls-University (Tübingen, Germany) including studies at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University (Munich, Germany). During this time, Dr. Mester was awarded an internship at the Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry (Martinsried, Germany). He was also awarded the Scholarship of the Bavarian Government for Gifted Students in recognition of his outstanding academic accomplishments. Dr. Mester recently completed his Ph.D. qualification, magna cum laude, with the Department of Immunology at the University of Tübingen. His thesis dissertation related to the identification of novel cytotoxic T lymphocyte epitopes derived from human adenoviruses. During his graduate studies, Dr. Mester also concentrated his studies in the area of organic chemistry and immunology. Dr. Mester also earned both “Grosses Latinum” and “Graecum” (Classical Latin and Greek) certificates, which were received with highest honors.
